On October 6th 1999 the band was at the TMF Netherlands studios for almost an hour long of interviews, clips and a great live acoustic version of Summer Son.
I split the broadcast in three clips (cut between the commercials) and uploaded them to megaupload. It might take a while to download but you wont be disappointed :-)

Texas star Tony McGovern provides impressive vocals on this great single which sounds a bit like Joy Division. It hit me right away with its jagged energy. Kizzy supported Sharleen Spiteri on tour and they are a band to look out for.

Our hero awards
|
|
|
from The Daily Record
Sharleen had tears in her eyes when she was presented with her "entertaining hero" award by the sister of a teenager her charity work has helped.
Sharleen, 41, has been a chart-topping singer for more than two decades, first with her band Texas and now with a successful solo career.
She is also an ambassador for CHAS, the Children's Hospice Association Scotland, raising funds and giving her time to terminally-ill youngsters and their families.
Her award was presented by Natalie Matthew, 16, whose twin Nicole requires 24-hour care.
Both have been given huge support by CHAS, which has enabled Nicole to begin her first year at a specialneeds school.
Sharleen said: "I'm a bit embarrassed getting an award.
"I'm very flattered, but you can't put me in the same category as the heroes we've seen and heard about tonight.
"I've been involved with CHAS since it started and the people who work there are all amazing, as are the families.
"It's always been important to me but, now I'm a parent, I have even more admiration for how the parents cope."
Sharleen beat fellow nominees rock band Glasvegas and singer-songwriter Tommy Reilly.
She added that the awards were a great chance to recognise people who make a big difference to others.
"Our Heroes is a fantastic event," she said. "The people honoured are the people we should all be paying tribute to, rather than people like myself and others in showbusiness.
"These people lead the way in showing the rest of us how to be selfless, how to stand up for what we believe in and how to be brave. It is great that we are all here tonight to honour them."
Stars from music, TV, film and sport flocked to Glasgow's Hilton Hotel on Friday (May 8th) to honour the ordinary Scots who do extraordinary things.
Of course also our congratulations to Sharleen, she's our hero also :-)

Thanks to everyone for a fantastic tour
All good things come to an end, or even more appropriate as they say in Belgium, "great songs don't last long".
So also Sharleen's UK Melody tour, with a fantastic show at the London Apollo Theatre.
During the entire tour, Sharleen was supported by a supperb band with magnificent musicians and Tony's band Kizzy Star did an amazing job warming up the crowd.
All the press reviews were going from very good to fantastic and amazing, and then they didn't even heard us out :-)
Some quotes about Kizzy Star:
"They were fantastic, Tony's voice is really strong and very passionate. The sound is tight and catchy!"
"Supported by the excellent Kizzy Star surely destined for the big time..."
"Finally the support Kizzy Star were also excellent, They showed so much enthusiasm, there songs were great."
Sharleen played most of the "Melody" album, some Texas songs and some covers, completely in the style of the album.
Some quotes about Sharleen:
"The gig was brilliant. Sharleen was overwhelmed by the reaction and by people singing the songs. She really enjoyed herself up on stage."
"Last night was classy and almost intimate."
"Sharleen came onto the stage and immediatly engaged with the audience with her personality, high energy and fabulous voice. One never to be missed."
"It was a brilliant concert - class all the way - a superb night out!. "
"I wasn't sure what to expect? It must be one of the best live concerts my wife and i have ever seen."
Quotes by Jen, Romek, Karen, Steph and Ludovic.

Shar at Oran Mór
|
|
|
Sharleen played a short secret acoustic gig at Glasgow's Òran Mór last night, January 20th for about 150 people.
Sharleen agreed to do the gig to give her new guitar player the chance to get to know some of the songs a little better before the tour starts.
During her intimate set, Sharleen sang the Clash's "Should I Stay Or Should I Go" and Elvis's "That's All Right Mama" as well as her two recent solo chart successes, "All The Times I Cried" and "Stop, I Don't Love You Anymore".
And in a banter-break with the crowd, she gave the audience a rundown of her biography - starting with the fact that she comes from Glasgow.
Sharleen sandwiched her special concert in between a voiceover for Radio 2 about the Beatles and a visit to her parents.
Among the audience where other band members from Texas and playwright and actor Dave Anderson.
Former Speedway singer Jill Jackson also performed a last-minute acoustic set with just her guitar and harmonica for company in advance of her solo gig at the venue on February 28.
Thanks to Lisa and Vicky

Red Sky July is a new project by Ally, his wife Shelly and Charity Hair. They are working with producer Graeme Pleeth to finish an album which should be released early next year.
The style of the songs is country flavoured with lots of harmony vocals and old style guitars, so we will hear Ally at his best supported by the lovely voices of Shelly and Charity Hair.
