Concert review :
Hallenstadion, Zurich, Switzerland - 21 March 2001

After my gig in Manchester I was very curious if it were possible to top the experience with a gig outside UK. And afterwards I can say......it was also GREAT !!!

I had a very good place in first row near Sharleen an in front of Tony. Reef made a very good job to bring the audience in the right mood! Especially the bassist was a very funny guy. I never heard them before but I enjoyed their music. Different than Semisonic...but really good.
But I was happy when it was a few minutes after nine and the curtain goes down and ZERO ZERO was played. Like first time before I had agian a goose-pimples. The audience scream.....but when In Demand starts an Sharleen was in that bright light the people became absolute crazy. Her eye-contact, her smile, her provoke acts.......yeah...she knows what she have to do to chain the audience. And when you see in some peoples face...you see they melt like wax when they watch Sharleen.

One thing disappoint me. That Sharleen told the same stories like all the evenings before. Certainly it`s not easy to do a great show every evening when you on stage.....but do they forget that many fans see them more then one time??? And is it not boring for them to tell the same stories again and again? Therefore it don`t surprise me that the boys and mens from the start of the concert do unusual acts. They hope to get her attention and hope to be the MAN on the stage....for the absolute great version of "Pull up to the bumper". And yes....as a women I have to say....I was jealous and wished to be a man for one night.....! But you forget all the replays very fast. Because Sharleens fascinated voice and the great songs let you fall into a dream.... .

When Sharleen goes to change her clothes...the Zurich audience start to change the "Hallenstadion" in a football stadium. They put their hands in the air and start under a sound of "ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh" a "Wave".
Then starts Inner Smile and the crowd enjoyed it to be a part of thw song when they scream ...yeah...yeah...yeah...! When she finished Inner Smile the people start again their "wave" and "sound" and Sharleen was very amused about that.

Her great feeling for good cover versions she showed again with "Suspicious Minds"...the crowed was fascinated of that one. But like shes said....you can only play that song in that sexy black leather suit and it really seems like Elvis is alive...yeah.

The final encore of the night...Say What You Want, is still I think so the most favourite song of the fans. But it`s also the end of a great evening!!!

But Sharleen don`t storm out after the last song...no she and the boys enjoyed the totally moonstruck screaming fans!

It was a great show again! But I have to say....TEXAS is a band and I love the boys also...but sorry it`s a Sharleen Spiteri Show !!! ...yeah yeah yeah and a night you never will forget!
