Sharleen presented an award at the Scotland BAFTA screen industry awards. More important she stated that the band is working on a new album which will be released around March 2005. The soundtrack for "Alfie" has been released with Ally playing guitar and slide guitar on 5 or 6 songs. A new edition of the Greatest Hits album in 'Deluxe Sound & Vision' Ltd Ed 3 discs set has been released. It contains two cd's and one dvd. Texas performed at the fundraising ball of the Scottish Entrepreneurial Exchange. Earlier this year tycoon Tom Hunter, who organised the ball, payed £250,000 to children's hospice Rachel House to have Texas performe at the ball. Universal released a special edition DVD from "I Don't Want A Lover" in a serie of classic hits. Sharleen and Ashley attended the Gala NSPCC night at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The NSPCC is the National Society for prevention of cruelty to children. Scots tycoon Tom Hunter payed £250,000 for a private gig by Texas at a charity ball later this year (12 June) at Burns Supper held in London and hosted by both Sharleen and Ewan McGregor. |
