Texas star's sis is pregnant too

THEY look alike, they sound alike... and now Texas star Sharleen Spiteri and sister Corinne are about to have their babies at the same time.

Corinne, 31, is expecting her first baby in a month, just two weeks before Sharleen is due to give birth to her first child.

And for hotel manager Corinne, it really will be a family affair - the father of her baby is Texas session guitarist Tony McGovern.

The couple met through her famous sister several years ago and hit it off straightaway.

Corinne is the Spiteri image of Sharleen and - according to her superstar sister - has an even better singing voice.

The girls, who grew up on the shores of Loch Lomond with mum Vilma and merchant seaman dad Eddie, have remained very close.

Sharleen, 34, is due to give birth in September. She has been with magazine executive Ashley Heath, 32, for seven years and divides her time between London and Glasgow.

She has taken two years off to stay at home after spending years trying for a child.

The sultry star has enjoyed a string of Number One hits with Texas and also has a clutch of famous showbiz pals, including Madonna and top designer Stella McCartney.

Meanwhile, Corinne has given up her job at one of Glasgow's most stylish hotels to prepare for her baby.

Last night, the Spiteri family were keeping 'mum' but friends said they were looking forward to the births.

One said: "Sharleen is excited about becoming an auntie as well as a mother.

"She and Corinne are very close. It's lovely they've been able to enjoy their first pregnancies together."
