by Béné 11.30am : Here we are ! In the car to drive to Dijon ! I'm in the car with 2 friends and Jessica. We've got 2hrs to arrive in Dijon...In the car we put the album cause one of my friend never listened to it ... She had to be in the mood too 1pm : We are in Dijon but we have to find the hotel to put our stuff...but it's hard to find it ... But we succeed ! After that we drove to the Zenith. 1.30pm : Here we are ! We arrived at the same time as Mailla and Pix and all the fans from Paris (good to put a face on some names or nicknames good to see old fans too ). There was already almost 100 persons there, with Thierry and his family, dorine and MlleShart in this crowd. Then we had to wait ... I was there to say hello to an old friend, Muriel, who came from Belgium without saying me ... it was her surprise ! I was so pleased to meet her again for a concert (I met her in Gent in 2001). 4pm : I was surprised because the gates were about to open so people behind me wanted to be close to the gate to enter ... so I couldn't go back to where I was standing .. so I was one of the firsts to enter the Zenith ... And then I had to run, run, run, following dorine ..... saw MlleShart at the 1st row, and I took my place besides her. Kept one for Romane, one of Thierry's girl...I promised to take her with me during the show...so she joined me at the 1st row. Mailla, Thierry, pix where a little bit behind me (but after all I should say...a better one because the stage was high !). We had to wait a little bit ... When a man came to entertain the Zenith...he tried to be funny .. but wasn't ! While waiting Marilyn recognized me ... sorry I'm not that good to recognize people .. Hopefully you did it 6pm : All lights off ... the crowd is about to be crazy ... Dijon is waiting to see Texas live ! Then Ally is coming on the stage and my 1st thought is "WAOUH ! Here I am ! It's true !" The show can start ! With IDWAL ... waouh ! Great ! Thought it was a little bit slow for me ... but was cool. Halo is to follow and waouh ! (ok I have others words than "waouh" ). Sharleen makes a break to say how good it is to be back. She introduced Mickael as the most talkative person Can't Resist ... was looking forward to hear the new songs live... And I must say that I really liked this one ! Then Black eyed boy ... waouh ! She almost never managed to finish the song ! Before saying the "tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime" we were all cheering them and she asked us if it was possible for her to finish the song and then she did it In Our Lifetime, and When we are together ... so good to hear these songs again ! Before Nevermind she talked a little bit with us... made Ally play a solo, Tony too, and then Mickael who played an Elton John song "Your song"...singing "isn't it a little bit funny" and he made Sharleen laugh and while she was passing her way she was singing to repeat it "isn't he a little bit crazy". Dorine tried to make us dance on YMCA to make fun in front of Sharleen but at the end she was the only one to do so ... But Sharleen noticed her .. and asked her where she saw that ... Well you know Sharleen...we've got the internet. Then Nevermind arrived to our hears...and it was .... waouh again Loved it ! What about us followed but thought it wasn't good to put 2 slow songs all together .. because we were all calm ... so really hard to jump after that (some will say I'm too old for this kind of stuff ) In Demand...ah yes ! Again, it's so great to hear it. Getaway is really good live !!!! Even if I don't really like the end of the song ... Summer Son ... Sharleen asked us to be totally crazy on it to have a surprise cause this one is the last one ... First break ... And then they are back and she says that the surprise will be Paul Buchanan who decide to come with them in Dijon so that they did Sleep in duet ! So so good !!! Love this song !!!! And after she asks us if we know Bob Dylan ... to that we all answer yes ... And so they did Like a Rolling Stone (which is maybe the one I really really know from Bob Dylan...so it's good for me ! ) which was really good ! A good duet ! 2nd break... And back with SWYW !!!! Waouh ! So good to jump and give all you've got in you for this song !!!! And it was over ... 8pm : It was very early, we're not used to finish a concert at 8pm ! So we took time to try to buy some stuff when we decide to try to meet them ... MlleShart, Fabrice, Chantal, Marilyne, jessica, dorine, muriel and I were waiting at the gate when the security guy told us Sharleen left 10 min ago ... which we didn't trust ...Some other fans arrived .. .one of them recognized me from the interview I gave in the magazine (which made me laugh !)... 9pm : Marilyne saw Mickael entered a car ... so the rest of the band was there ... 2 cars were about to exit, we thought they would stop just a little but they didn't.. Eddie waved to us ... that was all... We all decided to go to where we had to go (hotels, home...) when 2 girls said that the last train to Paris was at 9.48pm so we decided to go to the railway station (as MlleShart was about to do so cause the hotel was close to the station)....where we met the band without Johnny and Sharleen. Ally recognized me when I arrived in front of him cause I kind of "talk" with him while he was on stage. We all took pictures or talk with all of them until the train came... We all have a digest dinner full of hamburgers right after, before MlleShart, Muriel, dorine, Marilyne and Chantal drove back to Paris. A enjoyable evening was over .. It was good to meet everybody ... was lucky to reach the 1st row and to meet the band at the railway station ! Now I'm back in Lyon ... and want to live such evening again and again ! Texas ! I'm ready !!! |
