Concert review
Caprices Festival, Crans Montana, Switzerland - 6 March 2005

by Ursula

We arrived at crans-montana at around 12 o'clock. it was very sunny but five minutes later it started to snow. so we dicided to go for a coffee first. after that we took the gondola the get on the mountain. there was so much snow there, cool!! the first band hasn't start to play yet, so we had a "vin chaud" at the snowbar. and i took a first pic of the place where the concert will be. unfortunately it started to snow very bad and there was a very cold wind, brrrrr.... and the first band was quite boring, so no jumping up and down to get warm again.

But it was worth to wait for Texas!! the band waited in a little house very next to the stage, so on their way to the stage we already saw them and they looked at the audience with a big smile! it was a very familiar atmosphere, i think there were just around 3000 people or even less, don't know exactly...

They started the concert with "I don't want a lover" and already the 4th song was the new single "Get away", a really cool song. very nice melody, nice drums and some cool loops! after they played some "greatest hits" they played the second new song "Can't resist", also a very cool song!! it sounded like songs from the White on blonde time, but with some more loops. very nice, and i'm pretty sure the new album is gonna be very great, even we have to wait until september!

Yes, and Sharleen and the boys were in a very good mood. she was kidding around and made some jokes, was funny! and her voice was brilliant, even in this very very cold and snowy weather!! they ended the concert with a very nice version of "In demand", just Eddie on piano and Sharleen singing, was amazing!! and the last song was "Say what you want" and we all had to sing with her. we and she enjoyed it a lot!! it was really really great to see them live again and in the mountains and with the snow it was even more special!!
