Concert review
Telewest Arena, Newcastle, UK - 5 February 2001

The decor was quite simple, eight big luminous pillars at the back allowing lighting effects and many different curtains to change the atmosphere. Two big screens were placed on each side of the stage, showing Shar's slightest movement. The band was complete, the one that we know except that Mykey wasn't behind the drums: an other black guy named Steve stood in for, temporally I suppose as Mykey's name appears on the official program.

Anyway, at 9pm, "Zero Zero" started to fill the Newcastle Arena, with images of water on a transparent curtain in front of scene. This one fell down with the first chords of "In Demand". Sharleen was wearing a Mao-collar grey shirt and blue leather trousers. And a huge smile filled her face...

Shar played the piano at the end of Insane and stayed with Eddy to sing Tired Of Being Alone (amazing version!!). Then, most of band went backstage, Shar, Mark One, Nicole and Charlotte staying on stage for the funniest part of the show. As the first rows teased her (as usual), Shar called one of the guys to come on stage and dance with her on Mark One's Mix. You may have the chance to do the same when you see them... But this man was too shy!! After, she stayed alone with her guitar to play an acoustic version of PYAAM, Ally rejoined her then on Prayer For You (acoustic as well.) The end of the show was crazy, Shar coming back for the first encore with the same leather clothes as in the Inner Smile video. They all looked so happy to be back... You'll have a great time when you see them!!
