Fourth single from the Southside album, written by Sharleen Spiteri and Johnny McElhone, produced by Tim Palmer. The video clip was recorded in a church with stained-glass windows to create a special effect.
Played at many concerts in an acoustic version as which it's also available as bonus track on the CD single. There's also a Southside and a Northside remix on a 12" single. "Prayer For You" reached the 23th place in the Dutch top 40 in January 1990. It didn't do as well in the UK charts where it didn't get any higher than place 73.
