The intro from the Serge Gainsbourg / Jane Birkin hit from 1969 "Je t'aime ... Moi non plus" was used. Most people will know this song, it was the only French song which ever reached the highest place in UK charts.
Texas performed "Guitar Song" on the French TV show "La nuit de Serge Gainsbourg", a tribute to Serge, in March 2001 under the approval eye of Jane Birkin.

Texas performed "Guitar Song" on the Greatest Hits tour concerts in 2001.
In December 2001 "Guitar Song" was released as a CD single exclusively in Belgium, with the live version from the "Texas Paris" DVD as second track.
