Dear Sharleen, You see, my mum is a great texas-fan en when I was born on the 6 of april 2001 she named me after you. She even brought me to the amsterdam concert the 23 of march (I wasn't even born yet but danced on your music) When I was 2 1/2 years old I could sings (babylyrics) your songs. When will you come to Portugal? I've being following you since Southside. In Portugal there was a Texas song that was chosen for a TV serial: Say what you want. Hi, i just wanted to say the graphics are superb. They pictures are amazing of the band, but of course mainly of Sharleen. I saw Texas in 2001...and they were astounding performers. Sharleens' vocal range is spectacular.

This is a great Site. I found it through Stephan's.
Been a fan from Birth of texas. I met them on the Canadain leg
of the leg of the John Mellencamp tour. They played at HMV (Victoria British Columbia.
Shar was great & Ally, they signed & Took pictures with me.
The highlight of my Life !!!

The Bad part was the next day I had tickets to the show.

Mellencamp Got sick & the tour was stopped.

So I'm still waiting for a live show !!!

I went to see texas play recently in Newcastle and it was fantastic. Charlene has an amazing voice live and looked to comfortable on stage even though there was a heckler in the crowd. Keep doing what your doing Texas and you will be still rocking the charts for more years to come. Wonder when they touring again and if they gonna play Newcastle again.

I'm a real big fan of Tezas. I've been a fan since 1989 when I bought Southside. Well what made my day I visited Scotland for my first time a few years ago. U toured Endinbourgh and the whole works and what made my day I saw Texas Greatest Hits,the special 2 CD collection in a Scottish CD store and I snatched it up. But the real thirll happened when I talk to a Scottish clerk and she told she saw sharleen in person in a concert in Glasgow. I told her I was a Texas fan too. By the way I looove the wallpapers. What the two disc collection special it hadn't been released here in the states and it made my trip and that CD rock's n'roll.

First heard Texas while on a U.N. mission in Bosnia and have loved them ever since. Don't hear their music on the radio and it's hard to get cd's but I'm always looking. Thanks for the music and memories.

I love Texas....it all started when I saw Sharleen perform at the world music awards...i had to find that song...I found say what you want and ive been hooked ever since...there are 3 Texas songs on the muzack loop at Red Lobster, where I work, and any time one comes on I stop EVERYTHING im doing and put on my own Texas mini-concert!!!

I fell in love with Texas the moment i bought the White On Blonde CD.
Greatest thing to have ever happened to me.
"Say what you want" will forever be remembered as THE song as it introduced TEXAS to me.

One thing about TEXAS to me is, you can fall in love with them all over again everytime.

My only regret is i might never be able to watch their concert in person.

All the best wishes to you and Misty Kyd. Hope you are fine!!!! You might say, that this comes ruther later - but I hope not too late. The reason why it comes so late the Austrian papers or media do not write a single word about Texas. (the official webside is down and this side needs a special java browser, which was hard to get). Anyway I am a Texas fan since ages. I once say you and the boys live in Germany(Bremen), that was before the band had it's big success and you changed the music style from rock to a more soul - blues, rock influenced style. All the years I have been waiting to see you live in Austria - but Texas never came to Austria. Every time you were on tour I went to the ticket office and asked: "Is Texas coming to Austria?" And they replied: "Who? No they are not coming!" So I always thought ok maybe the next time - but when you were on tour you always left out Austria. I guess Austria is the only European country you have never been - as far as I can remember. And I don't know why. Is it just because Austria is so wee or is it that you do not have any fans here. As onec a Scottish friend of mine said to me: "Thomas, I guess it makes no sense for Texas to come to Austria for just one fan". I read on texas in demand theat you already recorded 6 new songs for a new album, which should come out next year. I guess you have got a lot on your mind to think about at the moment - the new born baby which is good, cause babies need their mum and so on, but don't you think that it could maybe be possible, if you make plans for a new tour whenever that may be, that Texas could come to Austria on the next tour. It would be wicked if it might be only once that Texas comes to Austria. Maybe to Vienna or Salzburg (which is near to the German border). Hope you think about it when you make a new tour. Hope to see Texas soon in Austria.

First song heard by Texas was "Like Lovers" on the Titan A.E. soundtrack. Liked it so much I went and picked up The Hush and White on Blonde. Both great cd's! It's nice to have a band out there that remains consistently good from cd to cd.

I've followed Texas since the release of I Don't Want a Lover and have to say that the track still moves me in the same way all these years on. Aforementioned track is still my favourite of all time, but I have to say that each and every album contains a song of some significance to my life at some point. Keep up the great work Texas - Sharleen what can I say you have the voice of an angel and devil all at the same time.

hi, thanks for your fantastic site, great job !! I watched early pictures in the photo gallery, and I just realized that Texas was an old band now !! I saw them in 89 in Paris, La Cigale, heavy guitars and "Sympathy for the devil", Bono and The Edge was in the backstage with champagne ! I would love to listen Sharleen singing the blues again...but it seems to be over.

Just had to say what a great website you've got here. I got into Texas after seeing Texas, Paris on tv last year. I was hooked. Bought the DVD and all the albums. Just wish I'd been a fan earlier so could have actually gone to one of the concerts. I think Shar's has got such an amazing voice and it's great to hear of so many people who think the same. Hey, what can I say? I have had a weird week. It must have started with Thierry Henry showing that t-shirt with the greeting to the newborn, and it got on the sports and entertainment news everywhere including good old Sweden.
Saw it. Reminded me of the great song Inner smile and I looked it up and listened to it like x times on Wednesday, and decided I had to get more of this. Of course, I loved In demand and Inner smile when they were playing big time everywhere, but I never went and bought any record or anything. And I lost out on the concerts last year. My loss. I really hope they go out playing soon again.
Anyway. Yesterday, after surfing a couple of sites and checking out some more songs, I realised I at least had to get the Greatest hits. Said and done, Thursday lunch, got it. Tonight it's Friday night, going out to some friends' place soon, and have spent the last couple of hours with the hits on repeat - and checking out a couple of the videos via broadband. (the In demand video is extremely cool, still.)
So, you know, thanks for a great site. Learned a lot from it. My friends have declared me insane after just over two days of reckless Texas and Sharleen hysteria.
But what can you do? - Great songs, great voice, fantastic woman. (con gratulations on the newborn!)

It's truely amazing how Texas has influenced my life. Through and even because of their music I share a special bond with the people that mean most to me in my life. And you Dirk, you are one of them.
