Concert review :
Palais Omnisports de Paris, Bercy, France - 4 April 2001

It has to be my 3rd Texas concert (after Lyon and Angers) but I didn't know how special it was going to be!!
Texas played tonight at the POPB. A sold out concert. 22 000 fans !

My day started stuck in the car traffic !! Damn !!
Lucky us, we were on time to meet Sharleen and Johnny at the hotel. Autographs, pictures and a quick chat to let them know that we ADORED the "so in love with you" version that Sharleen did for the first time the day before.
Stuck in the car traffic again, we finally joined the venue.

My friend then let me know that she's got VIP invitations !
So we entered the venue and took place in the VIP corner. I'm impressed. I'm certainly the only "pure" fan sitting in here. "no, I'm not from the Record Company, no I'm not a TV host... " LOL

7.30pm - the crowd starts a incredible wave !! OLAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!

8.15pm - REEF is on stage. "we're a rock band ! we're loud !" Gary (Reef's lead singer) says. Sure they are.

9.00pm - TEXAS at least !!!! The crowd is mad ! crazy ! WOW ! Texas could have been a french group that the welcome wouldn't have been better !!!
We sing along with Sharleen, we dance with her, we laugh with Ally and his famous "2 bières s'il vous plait", we're jealous when Thierry get on stage ! We jump !! We sing along again. We're up ! We are in love with Texas. It's amazing. "So called Friend" and its famous "Yeah" is definitly my fav' "old" song. Without a doubt, the audience knows the latest songs more than the others but it's OK. Before she starts to sing "So in love with you" Sharleen tells us that she has to sing it in Paris cause that's the way it is : she's in love with Paris !!!

11pm - "Say what you want"... Standing (and screaming) ovation !! "Je t'aime mon ami" Sharleen says. We love you too !! Oh yes we do !!!! "Rendez vous" on the 22nd of April !! same time, same place...
