Sharleen for Hollywood ?

Fresh from her performance with esteemed actor Alan Rickman in the video for Texas's latest single In Demand, Sharleen from the band has revealed that she is keen to get into acting and would love to make a film at some point in the future. 'I would like to give acting a go. I think it's interesting. But I'm also still trying to get the music right. However, if something unbelievable came along I'd be like, 'Ooh, ooh, I'm interested!' she says.

Sharleen has already been offered a number of roles, including one as a vampire! But as she explains, she is yet to find that elusive perfect script. 'At the end of the day I don't know what's going to come through that will make me go, 'Oh yeah, I really want to do that.' But it will have to be something really, really special in my head and in my heart for me to want to take the time out of the music to do it.'

In fact, Sharleen reckons that the main obstacle for her is time, especially as a movie can take us to a year to film. 'A lot of my friends are actors and they can be off working on a film for a year at the time, and I just couldn't do that at the moment,' she says. 'But that's not to say it will never happen. We'll have to wait and see what happens.'
