Texas, tango & toes

Texas' new video for ‘In Demand’ features Sharleen tango-ing with movie baddie, Alan Rickman. Sharleen says she knew who she wanted to dance with in the video as soon as she was asked:

"I thought it had to be someone who would be believable, who would rip your coat off and pull you into the tango, so I thought Alan Rickman!"

The Texas frontwoman told Radio 1 Rick is an amazing dancer, but she still ended up with sore feet: "I had to dance in my high heels but he did tread on my toe only once so I’ll forgive him for that!"

So Radio 1 took the opportunity of breaking the news to him at the premiere: "Oh really? Not half as much as I fancied her! It’s not difficult when you’re pressed that close together. It was a thrill. She’s a really good dancer."
