Concert review
Amphitheatre, Angers, France - 3 April 2001

I was with my friends, we arrived at 6 p.m, there was already people there. I thought it was ok to get good places and at the end it was almost perfect!
We were on the left, just behind the woofer! (we saw Sharleen like on the picture) ;-)
It started at 9.00 (9.15), and the crowd was so excited! There was a kind of white sheet just before the start and we could see Texas arrived beside it! I shouted and again and again and again...... The sheet felt down and it was crazy!

The first song was "In Demand". During the concert, Sharleen talked with us, sometimes in French sometimes in English and even in German! A kind of chat as if we were old friends!

We shouted all the time and when it was quiet, the boy beside us yelled "Sharleen on t'aime"! So Sharleen came in front of us and said:
"who said Sharleen on t'aime! .. You? Come with me here!"
At this time we were all jealous! They talked together, and she asked him if he would dance with her! He was ok! It was so hot, in my mind this guy was on the seven sky!!! He danced with her chorists ( the 2 girls)!! When it was finished she said she could felt how excited he was! He came back beside us and he get a T-shirt and 2 backstage :-( !! Not for us!!
After that, everybody tried to scream in order to be on scene! But it didn't work! Too bad no match!!

She made jokes with us and with her musicians! The ambiance was so great! A moment, she said that it was finished, it was the last song! We scream and she added
"you want another song??"
"yeeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh"
"two songs?"
"yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh"
Finally, she said that she would sing several other songs. After, she went off! And we called her back: "Sharleen, Sharleen, Sharleen..!" And..She came back dressed like Elvis!!! :-) So it was time for "Inner smile", Yeeeees!!! I adore it!
She made jokes again! Then, she sang an Elvis's song (Suspicious Minds)! And she disappear, again!
I knew it was not the end, because she had not sing "Say what you want", and I was waiting for this song since the beginning! And I was right..... SHE CAME BACK!!!!!!! With "Say what you want"! This time, I knew that it was really the end! But this song was so unbelievable!! It was longer than normally, and she made us sing!! And then they were all gone!!

It was fabulous, formidable, unbelievable, great crazy, good, incroyable, super genial mega bien, cool, what ever you want! :-) :-)

Few words for Sharleen (if you ever read this): I'm a fan since "White on Blonde", and with this concert I'm a super great fan! I hope you will come again in Angers, and this time I want (for me and my 3 friends) some backstage to meet you, chat with you and play guitar with you!! ;-) I love the way you speak French, and your guitarist too ("une bière s'il vous plait" :-) ) I adore you, I adore Texas, THAT'S ALL!!
